Targeted Amex Offer: Save $100 On Your Next Hyatt Stay
If you’re a Hyatt fan (or just someone planning a summer getaway), it’s worth checking your Amex Offers — you might be able to save some money.
This is the second Hyatt offer Amex has rolled out this year and while it’s targeted, the value is solid if you can make it work. I’ve seen a lot of Amex hotel offers come and go, and this one’s definitely worth a look, especially considering hotel rates this summer are anything but cheap.
In this post:
Hyatt Amex Offer: Save $100 When You Spend $500
A new targeted Amex Offer has surfaced that could save you $100 on a $500+ purchase at participating Hyatt hotels in the U.S. The offer is valid for stays paid between June 9 and September 15, 2025 .
At a high level, this is effectively 20% off , which is excellent — particularly if you’re staying at higher-end brands like Park Hyatt or Andaz, where that $500 minimum can be hit quickly.
Here’s the official offer wording:
Pro tip: If you’re unfamiliar with Amex Offers, think of them as digital rebates. You add the offer to your card, make the eligible purchase, and then get money back as a statement credit, no promo codes or extra effort needed.
Key Terms To Note
Like most Amex Offers, this one comes with a few important conditions:
Only valid at select Hyatt-branded resorts in the U.S. (Hyatt Regency, Andaz, Park Hyatt, Thompson, etc.). You can find the full list of eligible properties here .
Stays must be booked directly with Hyatt (either via Hyatt.com, the World of Hyatt app, or by phone).
Travel window: June 9, 2025 – September 15, 2025.
The $500 threshold is cumulative, so multiple smaller transactions will count.
Offer not valid for purchases of gift cards or World of Hyatt points.
Only valid on room rate and room charges (room service, spa, dining charged to room)
Third-party bookings (Expedia, Amex Travel, etc.) won’t trigger the offer.
Enrollment is limited, you must add the offer to your card before your stay, and only U.S.-issued Amex cards are eligible.
Offer not valid for stays that are paid for before the promotion start date or after the promotion end date.
Which Cards Are Eligible?
This is a targeted offer, so you’ll need to check your Amex account to see if you were selected. Based on current reports, it’s appearing on:
The Platinum Card® from American Express (Personal and Business)
American Express® Gold Card (Personal and Business)
I checked across a few cards in my household and only found it on a Personal Platinum, so your mileage may vary.
Pro tip: If you see the offer on more than one card, I’d recommend adding it to the one that earns the most on travel, typically your Platinum or Gold Card.
Stack With Other Offers and Benefits
Here’s why I really like this Amex Offer: it stacks nicely with other perks. Here’s how to maximize it:
Pair it with Hyatt promos (like double points or free night offers). These promos don’t interfere with the Amex credit.
Stack with elite benefits (Globalist breakfast, upgrades, etc.) if you’re a World of Hyatt elite member.
Pay with your Amex and still earn Hyatt points and elite nights , since it’s a direct booking.
Pro tip: And if you’re planning a longer or more expensive stay, consider breaking up the payment across multiple Amex cards that are targeted — as long as each card hits the $500 minimum, each should trigger the credit.
Where To Find Amex Offers
If you haven’t used Amex Offers before, it’s easy:
1. Log into your American Express account (desktop or mobile app) 2. Scroll to “Amex Offers & Benefits” 3. Search for “Hyatt” 4. Click “Add to Card” on the offer 5. Book directly with Hyatt and use the enrolled card
Statement credits usually show up within a few days of your stay being charged.
A Quick Word of Caution
While the $100 rebate sounds great — and it is — don’t assume every Hyatt property is eligible. The list includes just over 100 hotels, mostly resorts and all-inclusives. In fact, if you’re eyeing a quick business trip to a Hyatt Place or an overnight at Hyatt House, this offer won’t help you.
Personally, I wish this offer covered more brands, but I get that Amex is trying to push premium leisure spending here i.e. resorts, not roadside stops.
Bottom Line
If you have a Hyatt stay planned this summer, check your Amex Offers to see if you’ve been targeted for this $100 off $500 deal. It’s a solid, no-brainer way to save up to 20%, and you can still earn points, enjoy elite perks, and stack it with other promos, especially as hotel prices remain elevated in many markets.. As always, log in, check the terms, and act fast — enrollment is limited, and these offers can disappear once enough people add them.
